When tomorrow dawns, so will Anzac Day: a day of memorial where the armed forces of Australia and New Zealand are honoured for their service to country encapsulated by one specific event in World War 1, the 1915 invasion of the Gallipoli Peninsula in the Aegean Sea.

Today we live in the shadow of a disease whose name will be etched in history as “The Great China Pandemic”, Covid-19.
Its timing marks a unique anniversary. For it’s been just over 18 years since another terror wrecked the world. What makes it unique is with it comes the maturation of the first modern day generation born in wartime to reach adulthood: The 9/11ers.

Every now and then, a social channel proves its value to me with a surprise and this occurred earlier today with a “like” from a First-Tier contact of mine on LinkedIn.
Oh, the like wasn’t for me.
So, true leaders don’t lie when mistakes are made. For those judging them are human too.
The past then becomes lesson. Lesson breeds better decisions. And when the next decision is made the critique becomes lesson as well.
Because trust has then been built.

You cannot wage a war by committee. It takes one national leader and one national vision for victory.
In that vision there can only be a single national strategy.
That strategy is then devolved to the national armies, their corps, divisions, brigades, regiments, companies, platoons and squads.
