I started writing the day I saw a second-hand duck-egg green Olivetti clunker of a typewriter on our dining room table as a kid. I’m Adam Parker, Gen Xer and creator with words.

I have a degree in business with bells and whistles and three decades at the coalface. I’m an Accredited Freelance Journalist and a former Professional Veteran of the Australian Human Resources Institute.

I’ve published in newsprint on topics from outsourcing to social media to geopolitics. I’ve written commercial websites and some marketing too.

I’m a regularly suffering member of Boston baseball’s Red Sox Nation; a devotee of non-fiction books, The West Wing and Foo Fighters; and genuinely engrossed by anything relating to design—“Helvetica” is one of my favourite films. Yes, a film about a font. I may as well add, I binged seven entire seasons of Game of Thrones a week before the final eighth aired, quite a feat, and along with the rest of the world I’ll just say I’m still trying to work out what went on with that.

On the other hand I’m married, live in Melbourne, Australia, and am proud dad to wunder-pup Soxy, who’s a member of Red Sox Nation too.

Which is all to say, titles mean nothing because a person is only worth what he or she does to the best ability allows. So let’s get this show on the road again, and again, and again.
