It’s over. Around 3am Australian Eastern Standard Time on Friday, February 26th, 2021, Facebook allowed Australians to read and share news links on its platform once again.
Now Facebook’s crossed the line. That kid called Zuckerberg who pissed off America’s rich by becoming an overnight billionaire with a product that does nothing—thereby fomenting their greed that became the Global Financial Crisis—has blocked my little website from posting to my Facebook Wall in Australia. Do we still call it a “wall”?

On September 15, 2019, in an article titled “The Apple Has Gone Rotten With iOS 13.1” I touched on overvalued equities and the incredulity of the Dow Jones then sitting at around 27,000 points. On March 27, 2020, in “The Economy or Lives—The Choices of Fighting Covid-19” I predicted that those seeking a policy of herd immunity without a vaccine for Covid-19 were merely trying to push up a then flailing Dow to 30,000 points.

A Facebook post by my wife today set it off. It was about this morning’s Covid-19 announcement by the premier of Victoria of a delay in reopening Melbourne’s retail sector due to a new outbreak in its northern suburbs whose extent had yet been fully defined.
