On 22 June 1941, over eighty-five years ago, SS Einsatzgruppe C entered Ukraine in the wake of the German invasion of the Soviet Union. Four Einsatzgruppen in total fanned out from Poland through the Baltics and as far west and south as the German army went. They had a single mission: to shoot Jews.
