As a capitalist of the big-government persuasion I found Naomi Klein’s 2007 book Shock Doctrine groundbreaking. Her thesis of Disaster Capitalism—the milking of natural crises for profit—has influenced my thoughts about greed, neoliberalism and globalisation since.
