It’s widely reported that the West is fighting an insurgency against its values of enlightenment and pluralism. We know that this insurgency is being empowered by elements in Western politics, media, police and justice in pursuit of a radical demographic agenda. War has typically been the answer to such threats every century but history teaches us another solution exists too. Societies that have kept their freedoms have always remembered to protect their liberties. Jihadism understands this relationship and is exploiting it. Jihadists and their Western supporters know that when the West becomes too comfortable, it forgets its soul.

Sentiment for civil war against Islamist Extremism is gaining conversational attention in Europe, Australia, North America and Asia. Some say that these nationalists are extremists too. All we know for certain is that this fervour is real, and its urgency derives from a deliberate blind eye turned by the West towards illegal immigration that began around 2014.

At its starkest level, what Napoleon and Hitler failed to achieve against Britain in the 19th and 20th Centuries the Muslim Brotherhood has done in the 21st with the collusion of a left-aligned EU.

In 1804 Napoleon said, “Give me six hours of mastery of the English Channel, and I am master of the world.” Rather it has been rubber dinghies instead of Napoleon’s heavily-gunned Ships of the Line or Hitler’s towering Bismarck Class battleships that have pulled this seaborne invasion off. France sent its human cargo on their way and the UK didn’t defend. While last week the Royal Navy boasted that its new aircraft carrier replete with F-35 stealth bombers had sailed across the Indo-Pacific, the island-fortress of Britain continued to fall to boats filled with squads of military age, jihad-indoctrinated men. Well over an infantry corps-equivalent in manpower, over ten years, now threatens the UK from within.

This, however, need not be the West’s inevitable future. There is one weapon the West possesses that can still prevent the Muslim Brotherhood from “world mastery”.

It is jurisprudence and it requires that countries first take back their reins of law and order and their courts from political activism.

Jurisprudence is the understanding that there is a difference between freedom and liberty. It goes like this:

“We have the freedom to do whatever we want but we are at liberty to do so, so long as we do not infringe upon the freedoms of others.”

It eviscerates jihadism entirely.

Islamist Extremism, as opposed to Moderate Islam, seeks the establishment of a global Islamic Caliphate on the ashes of the West. It is written as such in the charters of the Muslim Brotherhood globally and its marketing arm “Hamas” in Gaza. It is on the lips of Turkey’s president, Hezbollah and Iran. Its extremists fill social media preaching it. It is in the shouts of suicide bombers and knife-wielding thugs.

How does jurisprudence deal with jihadism? It says that:

We have the freedom to be Muslim in London, Melbourne, Toronto, Brussels, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Tokyo, Dearborn and Oslo and others. But we are at liberty to be Muslim so long as we do not infringe upon the freedom of others who do not wish to be Muslims.

With that simple truth we remember that we do have a redress for women and children being gang-raped, groped and harassed; people being murdered, king hit, stabbed and maimed; dog ownership being threatened; manners of dress and culture being ridiculed; public thoroughfares being misused for prayer; art and monuments being defaced. Being Muslim does not entitle adherents to treat others as “infidels” whom they feel they have superiority over. And if that religious pluralism doesn’t suit them, they are free to leave the West’s liberty behind.

We then remember that this jurisprudence is already pulsing inside our laws:

We cannot threaten another person with fear. We have the freedom to speak and act but are at liberty to do so, so long as the person we are targeting does not feel that their freedom for personal safety is infringed upon.

Hence we have laws prohibiting assault and battery, false imprisonment, anti-discrimination, and vilification.

Jurisprudence, further, protects our borders:

We cannot stay in a country illegally. We have the freedom to seek political asylum but are at liberty to do so, so long as we comply with the laws and norms of the country we are seeking shelter in to not infringe upon the freedoms of those legally present to go about their lives.

This is enshrined in international, criminal and civil law.

If these legal protections exist in the West, then why aren’t governments, police and courts enforcing and applying them?

Indeed this is the most insidious thing, for governments are starting to remove freedoms instead. The onset of digital IDs, social media bans, prison sentences for social media posts. The blind eye to protests at Jewish places of worship, the tearing down of Christmas trees, the replacement of “Merry Christmas” with “Happy Holidays”: these are all signs of a deliberate Western social re-engineering and we must ask why?

Who in the world profits most from the removal of Western freedoms? It’s not the Mideast. It’s not even Russia.

It’s China.

Who profits most from a strong China?

It’s the Mideast and Russia.

Who profits most from a viable Mideast and Russia?

It’s jihadists.

Who profits most from jihad?

It’s the radical politicians, political power bases and their think tanks in the West who call themselves Labor, Labour, Green, Liberal-Progressive, Progressive, Social Democrat or Democrat. It may seem contradictory to say, but during World War Two they also called themselves Nazis.

It’s those people who yearn for Communism dressed up as Socialism as a means of wealth redistribution, where they believe that part of that wealth will end up in their hands as members of exclusive politburos.

Never forget that Nazism was “Socialist” by name: that documented links between Stalin’s Communist NKVD secret police and Hitler’s Fascist SS exist: the Gulag and Concentration Camp slogans of “work is glory” and “work makes you free” respectively are too similar to be ignored, while claims and counterclaims of historicity versus conspiracy theory around them abound.

What can’t be disputed, however, is one truth today:

Governments and the courts of the West are forgetting that when you purge liberty from freedom, you end up with world war.

In his book “Hitler Slept Late and Other Blunders That Cost Him the War”, author James Duffy noted:

“Hitler succeeded in turning a devastated nation into a massive war machine that combined luck, skill, and surprise to roll over most of Europe. Part of his success was based on the weakness and lack of will of many of his enemies.”

Today the West is at its existentially weakest point since 1945 where the “luck, skill and surprise” of its enemies can again penetrate it. And its “weakness and lack of will” this time is the obfuscation of local policing and justice.

We can only hope then, that China, Russia and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to make “blunders” of their own.

The massive irony is that while it was the invasion of Israel by Hamas in 2023 that, per plan, woke immigrant sleeper cells in the West towards jihad, only Israel subsequently destroying Hamas, Hezbollah and waking Qatar and Iran to their potential dooms, has saved the West for now.

Israel backed by the US, in doing the dirty work fighting jihad, is the only wall protecting what remains of freedom in the West.

How long that wall can stand, while the concrete cancer of stupidity once again eats away at the liberty defining it, is the question that by no coincidence also runs parallel to the sudden rise of antisemitism.
