A Message to France, UK, Canada and Australia About Recognising Palestine and a Story

Gentlemen, I have considered your plans to announce recognition of a Palestinian state on Monday in the UN and my advice is this.
The fictional quote from the movie Thirteen Days, depicting the Cuban Missile Crisis, that “appeasement only makes the aggressor more aggressive” is much better understood in Winston Churchill’s actual words that inspired it:
“Each one hopes that if he feeds the crocodile enough, the crocodile will eat him last. All of them hope that the storm will pass before their turn comes to be devoured.”
He is referring to you today.

Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer and your partners, Mark Carney and Anthony Albanese, you are about to jeopardise world peace in a manner more direct than Putin is threatening NATO.
For if you believe that appeasing Radical Islam by recognising a Palestine will protect you tomorrow, the crocodile of jihad is already waiting to devour you as it did the Twin Towers of New York on 9/11.
It’s unfathomable if you don’t know this but strength—the strength to protect the weak, the strength for morality against the bully—is all that matters in the Mideast. Acquiescence to the Arab crocodile only makes it hungrier.
Starmer rightly said just days ago to Trump, “Let me be really clear about Hamas. They are a terrorist organisation who can have no part in any future government in Palestine. And what happened on October the 7th, was the worst attack since the Holocaust.”
Be wary then, because Hamas and their backers have already set in place an insurgency to attack your nations from the inside like a cancer. This is readily evident from the anarchy in your streets.
They will destroy your political mandates and then the fabric that makes your nations so incomparably attractive, that those who hate its multicultural pluralism, want its end.
Do not recognise a Palestinian state in New York next week as the Jewish High Holiday period of New Year and Atonement begin. That alone is weakness. Wait at least until Hamas is beaten and Israel’s hostages are freed as Starmer says.
That is how you send the crocodile away, for that’s how you show the Levant that it can live in peace.
The extremist horrors of Sudan, Nigeria, Congo, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are lesson enough. Your declaration of a Palestinian state will neither bring about that entity nor an end to its mindset of hate without the hands-on support of the Arab World.
And the truth is bare. The Arabs will never respect you without a strong United States agreeing to have your back.
Look to your own nations instead, rebuild and refurbish them socially and economically. That is what you have a mandate to do so you can take the next step.
A story in a picture
In the photograph included here, an Israeli soldier stands along the Straits of Tiran in 1956 as part of a campaign run by France and Britain to take control of the Suez Canal from Egypt. In what would be known as the Suez Crisis, Israel was asked to capture the Sinai to protect French and British troops at Port Said.
Having taken the canal, the UN and US forced all three countries to soon withdraw.
The Suez Canal went back to Egypt. It was the last time France, Britain and Israel would fight as allies. And it was the end of the French and British as major military powers.
Indeed, France would soon call on the US to intervene in Vietnam resulting in France’s surrender to the Viet Minh and the tragedy known as the Vietnam War killing 58,000 US personnel. Britain never recovered its control of the seas.
Tomorrow France and Britain are set to abandon Israel to terrorists in the UN against US wishes, though their posturing will affect little change in the Mideast. Since 1956 Israel has fought alone against numerous Arab invasions culminating in Hamas’s attack of October 7 2023. Nothing’s new.
