Australia Refuses to Light Up Its Opera House For the Bibas Family Murdered by Hamas’s Gazans

Australia could always be relied on to lead the world in the fight against Islamic terror. But the sight of global landmarks lit up in orange to honour Israel’s Bibas family yesterday and this week—a mother and her two children kidnapped and murdered as hostages by Hamas in Gaza—was not joined by the iconic Sydney Opera House.
Rather, a Sydney public high school in Granville protested on the day of their funeral for a sheikh who’d been ordered to work from home, for supporting an indicted nurse who threatened to kill Israeli patients.

This is the Australia of Labor’s Foreign Minister Senator Penny Wong and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
After World War 2, Australia attracted the largest population of Holocaust survivors in the southern hemisphere earning admiration. Today we learned that Wong had also snubbed Israel in the UN for a meeting with global terror sponsors, Iran.
Wong’s 2024 Iran meeting pre-dated the new Trump administration and its current plan for US ownership of the Gaza Strip, and its international rebuilding into a non-Palestinian tourist haven/oil and mineral gateway.
Had Israel listened to Wong last year and not entered Rafah, Hamas would not have had incentive today for the ceasefire currently underway, nor would Egypt have opened its border at Kerem Shalom—enabling today’s swap of 4 dead Israeli hostages for 97 Islamist prisoners. Senator Wong was wrong.
Wong’s understanding of Israel and the Middle East is outdated. It is based on a two-state solution she has never been able to elucidate, with a Palestine that has never existed, and with a populace that since October 7 in Gaza and the West Bank is now unwilling without extreme pressure to surrender murder (jihad) as a weapon.
Instead, since the shock of October 7 2023, she has doubled down. And Australia is only waking to the reality of a Palestine-in-Exile in Australia (Hamas-In-Exile to be more precise) being established under the guise of asylum.
Wong’s unwillingness to look at the crime and social distress of the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Canada among others—all under siege by Islamist Extremists replete with misogyny, hatred of multicultural pluralism, hatred of infidels, and the demand for sharia law in the quest for jihad—is placing Australia at existential risk: as law enforcement and intelligence experts are warning her.
Palestine is Wong’s Holy Grail, and the senator cannot accept that after 80 years of constant jihad, with the torture and desecration of the Bibas family’s remains, it is over.
Senator Wong, if you want to champion peace you must come up with the goods of a workable plan. Israel has offered two, declined by Arafat and Abbas.
You do not possess that ability. And Australia’s foreign affairs is not a game.
Rather change focus, lay SOSUS lines in the Tasman, Timor and Arafura seas, and get some eyes on China.
Turn your attention to the homogeneity of Australia’s national values in immigration and run some diplomatic A2/AD in Asia.

- (SOSUS = The old name for a line of underwater listening and sonar posts able to pick up submarine and naval vessels nearby alerting friendly forces to an enemy’s presence.)
- (A2/AD = Anti-Access/Area Denial: a military term for strategic and tactical control effectively reducing an enemy’s offensive reach and ability to penetrate a battle environment.)
