On September 30, 2020, in an article titled “Dire Omens from the First US 2020 Presidential Debate”, I published an observation that read:

Trump still has to play his “trump card”. Trump has yet to burn the Reichstag. He hasn’t yet overtly called for his masses to take to the streets but he’s capable of doing anything to ensure that Democratic Party votes will not count.

I wrote that five weeks before the US Presidential Election and in the fallout since Election Day November 3rd it pains me to know that yesterday, I was right.

There’s a lesson in this for all politicians, business leaders and social wannabes. That what you write and say on social media is evidence. That it points to you and your organisations like DNA. That there’s a fine line between free speech and incitement. So, don’t abuse it.

Today, Jerome Marcus lawyer for Donald Trump as a plaintiff in a lawsuit seeking an emergency injunction against the Philadelphia County Board of Electors certification process, filed a scathing motion to withdraw as Trump’s counsel stating:

The client has used the lawyer’s services to perpetrate a crime and the client insists upon taking action that the lawyer considers repugnant and with which the lawyer has a fundamental disagreement.

That Donald Trump has “perpetrated a crime”.

Trumpism is over.

As in the final days of World War 2 in Europe, while Germany burned, and Hitler hunkered in a bunker days away from committing suicide, heads are beginning to roll.

Like Hitler’s SS, Trump’s enablers are trying to hide their sieg tattoos and blend with the general population to avoid justice. Today, the US Capitol chief of police resigned as did the congressional House sergeant at arms for allowing yesterday’s Neo-Nazi and Alt-American desecration of the seat of US government.

And as I finish these words, CNN has just aired a new White House Trump video, not filmed live to air, where he’s claimed innocence calling for yesterday’s mob at the US Capitol—and in all but the precise words conceded defeat to President-elect Joe Biden.

It will not legally protect him. It will not protect you.

Those who enabled Trump and have sought to emulate him, your days outside the law are over. In 2016 after Libya I couldn’t have supported Hillary Clinton. Trump’s just an eccentric business person, I thought. He’ll hit China hard. I forgot that the best scammers always are. If an American I’d have voted for him.

But sometimes the devil you don’t know is the better to choose.
